Thank you very much for visiting Mongolia Connections website.

Mongolia Connections is a small consultancy which was founded in New York to promote cooperation and understanding between the US and Mongolia in various different fields.

In the 25 years I've worked on international development projects with Mongolian and US organizations, I've discovered that many opportunities exist to expand cooperative programs between the two countries, particularly in the arts and education, in small sustainable business, and in environmental conservation. Many people who work in similar fields in both countries and who should know each other, do not know each other. My job with Mongolia Connections aims to connect these people and organizations and to help them develop cooperative programs which will benefit both sides.

Our value proposition is simple. We know Mongolia, we know the U.S., and most importantly we know your business. Through our experience and contacts, we are uniquely qualified to provide our clients in Mongolia and the U.S. with new market access and consulting services to ensure that they are successful.

About Mongolia

Since early 1990, with the collapse of communism, Mongolia has opened its door to the world community. Mongolia has been developing its market-oriented democracy with a vibrant civil society for more than 20 years now. Mongolia is a new, emerging economy with one of the highest GDPs in the world and is rapidly attracting western businesses. It offers great opportunities for businesses to start fresh, new ideas in a young, booming, free-market economy. An integral part of this momentous change is the emergence of an active and lively non-profit sector which is cooperating with both business and government sectors to promote Mongolia's market-oriented democracy.

Mongolia is a young nation with a high rate of literacy and with well educated people. Mongolia is also rapidly developing markets in the Asia Pacific Region and it has growing interest in environmentally sustainable businesses such as eco- tourism, agricultural products, cashmere and wool products, arts & culture, and technology.

In 2012, US and Mongolia celebrated their 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Today, US and Mongolian business people are increasingly traveling between the two countries with an interest in starting new business ventures and looking for new business partners. Government and non-profit entities are partnering with their counterparts in each country.

Yet, there is a need and demand for all parties to understand and learn of each other’s business management practices, to learn about and respect the other country's culture, history and communication style, thereby promoting better cooperation and relationships between the business, non-profit and government sectors.

Mongolia Connections will bring its extensive and unique experience and skills to build bridges of cooperation between both countries. By providing excellent counsel and advice, MC will save time for businesses, non-profits and government by facilitating and arranging connections in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
